Guest Accommodation:
There are 10 spacious and comfortable guest bedrooms, all en suite. Choose between a double, twin or 'family rooms' - which can accommodation young children in the same room as the parents. For infants (children under two years), cots are available upon request - at no extra cost. All rooms have a colour television, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

The rooms are light and airey, and many have the large windows distinctive of the Georgian period with pleasant views over the town - some rooms overlook the hotel Courtyard, whilst others the Market Place or the High Street. Following an extensive programme of refurbishment, the bedrooms have been re-fitted and re-furnished. All the rooms are furnished and equipped to the same high standard, yet each is unique. Each room has its own decor, and a character of its own - with arches, sloping ceilings, cast-iron fireplaces or other period features.

Refurbishments have been carried out sympathetically to retain as much of the original period charm as possible, whilst providing our guests with every modern comfort and convenience.

Room rates include Continental breakfast, served in your room. A full English breakfast is available to order at a small extra cost (£5.95 per person), served to you in the Restaurant, Bar or, in fine weather, in the hotel Courtyard outside.

Continental breakfast comprises freshly-brewed tea or coffee, together with freshly-squeezed orange juice, a freshly-baked Viennoiserie (a selection which includes mini-croissants, pain au raisin and pain au chocolat), plus toast served with locally-made preserves.  Breakfasts are served between 7.30am and 9.00am (10.00am on Sundays). Please order your breakfast at Reception the night before.

Guests are advised to make a reservation for Luncheon or Dinner in the Restaurant to avoid disappointment.

For late-arriving hotel guests, cold suppers based on the menu served in the Restaurant can be served in your room (up to 9.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday).

The Bell is a family hotel, and children are made very welcome. Highchairs are available in the Restaurant upon request.

The Bell Hotel is a dog-friendly establishment. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bedrooms and all public areas, except the restaurant.

Guest rooms are available for occupancy from 2.00pm in the afternoon. Guests are requested to vacate rooms by 10.00am on the morning of their departure, in order to make them available to the Housekeeping staff.
